Having just watched it I'm entranced by the visual and sound constellations throughout this piece. The story thus told, through well placed stars ( gorgeous cast) is personally as devastating as The Inner Circle, and more so, for the real cultural transitions shown, which my family did endure. I love the allegory of Dante's powerful, beautiful yet betraying voice which, to me, embodies Europe's aesthetic ascent, spiritually inspired yet morally unevolved, duly noted by Fegele: " Make sure G-d is on your side; otherwise it's murder". The western phase of Jewish ascent I thought was well portrayed the father's religious delemma and artistic conundrum of making wartime musicals. Thank you for the hopeful ending. I found it terribly sensitive with an outcome of extreme sensuality that walk at the edge of cliff. So I will buy the film and add it to the wonderful collection of the artist work. And I might comment again when I have seen the piece on a large screen. best wishes, frederic.
